BELIEVE IN:

SAFETY

Philosophy:

To protect our community and develop local the appropriate local guidelines, we will consult with and learn from policy and medical experts. It is important to select our sources for information based on their integrity, experience, and education.

Political Statement:

To keep our citizens safe and protect our community, it is imperative for these decisions to be made at the local level. Local policies should be made at the level of government that is closest to the people, especially when they are safety, life, and death decisions.

HERITAGE

Philosophy:

Protecting the heritage on Main Street is important to preserving our community’s flavor and history as we embrace the inevitable growth that is coming to our area.

We have to be ready in advance of this growth and have a plan and manage zoning to protect businesses where we can while we strategically make room for the new opportunities that are on their way.

Political Statement:

Growth is coming but it does not have to cost us our identity. Other communities in the path of similar growth have had great success in protecting their Main Streets (and beyond) by being prepared and having a plan for when that growth does arrive.

EDUCATION

Philosophy:

Education is the foundation on which the future of China Grove will be built. Ensuring that our children have everything that they need to succeed is critical to both their development and future well-being.

Political Statement:

We should be proud to fund our teachers and our local education complex. Our local education system is fundamentally important to the development of our children into educated, well rounded, and productive citizens in our community.

ECONOMY & TAXES

Philosophy:

As important as it is to have plans and solutions, it is equally important to have them funded. Making the right funding decisions will help us to grow our local economy and education systems while maintaining a safe and economically viable Main Street for years to come.

Political Statement:

Protecting our sovereign local policies and initiatives starts with making the hard decisions at the local budgetary level. How we deploy our tax dollars today will impact a generation of China Grove citizens. These decisions are never to be taken lightly and must always be forward thinking.
